Hi everyone,Starting 2017 I knew that photography and capturing people's memories is not just about the moment, but about the story that lead to that moment. The journey two people had to go on to reach that moment. So many happy moments and fond memories lead to Martin asking Almie to spend the rest of their lives together. I loved how Almie wrote about it and how she lights up every time she looks at her gorgeous ring, which is a family heirloom and over 100 years old! The ring belonged to Martin's Great Grandmother and he really put a lot of thought into the proposal. They went for a weekend break away at Akwaaba Predator Park an Spa and he even booked some treatments to spoil his future Fiance. After a tour of the park, which rained out, they returned to Lodges soaking wet. But nothing could make him change could stop Martin. They went for lunch and he even arranged for a special table outside overlooking the gardens to set the tone. As they were enjoying the quite time a little lion cub made his appearance, if that was not a big enough surprise, the cub had the ring around his neck! Martin got down on his knee and asked Almie the big question! She said yes! How special was that? All the planning and changing of plans due to rain and still a perfect story, their story to tell for many years. When meeting them at Mabuneng, I could see the love they share and boy-o-boy does it shine through in the pictures! Thank you so much for letting me share in this special moments and may you alway look back and remember how it all started. Makeup Credit : Milly Roos xoxo
