Chanre & Werner | Urban Engagement session | Maboneng Presinct

Hi everyone!

Sometimes we have no choice but to listen to our hearts. We can fight it, but in the end love will always prevail. I had Charne and Werner well out of their comfort zone - it was so worth it - as they are both very much in love with nature and farm life. 

This is also where Werner asked Charne to be his wife - on the farm in nature and so well planned! He set up a series of clues and got his mother to help him. This is so romantic, so get the tissues close!

So on the last day of 2016, Werner set his plan in working to make sure that they go into the new year as an engaged couple. Werner's mom asked Charne to take a drive with her on the farm. They got to the first gate, where to Charne's surprise, she found a little box and a bouquet of flowers. Inside the box was a clue for  the next stop.

Following the clue she found a second clue, directing her to go to their special place on the farm - called Gemsbok. They went along and reaching Gemsbok there was a sign saying: " Walk our story"

I told you this was very well planned and so romantic! 

Following the arrows and the photos of their journey together she walked through the trees and finally reach a point where he hung a white curtain. Behind the curtain there was rose pedals on the ground and her bow and arrow on them. As she tells it, at this point she did not really know what to expect or what to do next. 

She finally realised that Werner was there waiting for her and he revealed a big sign - WILL YOU MARRY ME?

She had to shoot the yes sign with the bow and arrow, but she was so overcome with joy that it was so hard for her to shoot straight. But non the less she said YES!

But this is not the end, Werner took it a bit further. He blindfolded her and lead her trough the woods to another opening where all their family were waiting to congratulate them. 

I love how she tells their story and it is super special how he took their journey and family to make this a very special occasion for her!

After all this they were brave enough to tackle the concreet jungle with me to capture some very special memories for them.
