Christa & Renard

A mountain promise for life.  

From childhood friendship to forever love! Christa & Renard has a very special story and being the first couple to get married at Affi Lande just continued their special journey. They met each other when they were 11 and from there their friendship grew and finally their love was born. 
It wasn't always a sure thing, but when they did realise that the spark was there they just could not let go. Their love survived time, long distance and many, many adventures. 

I met them at their engagement session earlier this year in Richards Bay and what fun it was! I got to see the places they loved visiting, loved spending time at and how deeply in love they were. Capturing  memories for people is always special and having them bring me to them to capture their memories in these special places were just amazing. 

That was the first time I heard about this special place in the Free State they wanted to get married at. "Just a farm and nothing to fancy, we just want our family and friends to enjoy the day with us"
Boy was I surprised to see the farm they picked, a view for days and so many people around them that loved them. 

The ceremony site took by breath away, it was on the mountain and you could see why they chose that spot and asked Adri to help them put it all together. With many prayers and loving, helping hands everything came together perfectly. 

I will never forget their first look and how they couldn't take their eyes of each other, the tears of joy and the smiles that never left their faces. The ceremony was perfectly suited for them and their lives were bound by God, love and faith. Their story is far but over and I wish them all the happiness in the world.
