Florance Guest Farm - A charming Farm weddingEntering the small town of Chrissiesmeer, was like going home in a very long time. The towns people greeting you as if they have know you forever. The open fields and blue skies, it made my hart long for the home I grew up in. So peaceful, so homey, so small town. It was a pleasant surprise to find Florence Guest farm just outside of this small town, where the spirits was high and the smiles where wide on our arrival the Friday afternoon. Cindy and Nathan and their families were already there getting the final touches ready for their special day and the sense of coming home just grew. They value family and the bond they have with their family. They value the time they spend with them and even if it is just working together putting the seating cards in place. The friendly staff at Florence Guest just went out of their way to make everyone feel at home and looked after. Small touches made the world of a difference, coffee smells in the air, rusks by the fireplace. Jemma and myself felt so welcome in their mits that it was so great getting up the Saturday to spend the day with them. The day they have been planning for so long. The day where they could celebrate their love with their family and friends. Even though the skies were a bit gloomy, the joy was so real and nothing could spoil the day. Cindy and her girls were in high spirit and she could not stop smiling, nothing could spoil the day and she was so happy having her 'sisters and moms' with her. I could see how everyone was truly happy and their faces just lit up more when they saw Cindy in her dress for the first time. Some even had to swallow on the treats. The men were so chilled out by the fireplace and Nathan smiled from ear to ear. And I must give a super thumbs up the venue for the Man cave. It's amazing! Every bit put together so well, it is just super easy to get great shots of the men getting ready. I loved how easy going Nathan was, but still very eager to see his bride. They really enjoyed ringing the church bells and that final wave from the bridal room just before he entered the chapel set the tone for the moments to come. The moment he saw his bride entering, the moment he could hold her hand, the moment they could promise their lives together to God and each other, the moment they were: Husband and Wife! These are the moments my photographer hart lives for, the true promise of love and togetherness. Seeing two people who belong together making that promise with family and friends. They know if will not always be easy, but they trust and love each other enough to entre in this bond. These are some of my favourite moments of your day and I hope that you will relive your joy by seeing them. Relive the moments you could take to just be in each others arms or look in each others eyes. And probably my quickest ever couple session, except for maybe your engagement session… The friendly faces greeting you at the reception. Your first meal as a married couple and the joy after the dance floor was open. May these be moments you look back on, happy moments you will never forget. But moments you strive to relive daily as you grow to love each other more in years to come. Always hold your partners hand, always look at each other with loving eyes, always live with a grateful heart knowing that you have someone in this big world loving you as much as you love them.
