Urban dreams, a day full of love and happinessAll my brides has a very special place in my heart, we chat for months before the wedding and plan every detail of the day to make sure every special moment is captured. But with Ida it was a bit different, I have known her for about 7 years. I saw the joys and heartaches of her life and seeing her this happy on her special day made my heart happy! My very first wedding I shot was her best friend. She has believed in me even before I knew I could be the photographer I am today. She has always had my back and it was more than a honour to be part of her happy journey. I remember their very special vintage engagement session at the Rand club in JHB Central just over a year ago. The little book Francois made made to propose to Ida was a true reflection of their journey together. We spent the time laughing and with no wedding plans in sight. They just wanted to enjoy the time as engaged couple. Now, just a bit over a year thereafter they had their very special day and shared it with family and friends who helped to put the day together. They worked so hard the day before to get everything picture perfect and what a great job they did! The tables reflected their style and personality perfectly, the vintage furniture used showed was the perfect final touches. Her sister made each guest a blanket as a keepsake and reminder of the day. It was such a special touch and the guest loved it on this chilly winters day. I remember the look on Francois face the moment he saw Ida and the tears in her eyes, the moment they have dreamt about for so long. They could keep their eyes off each other during the entire ceremony. The final big surprise was Ida's unique wedding ring that Francois had specially designed and made. With his promise to love his Wonder Woman forever. I am super happy to share these hightlights of their special day and hope they warm their harts for years to come. I mean... Look at these unique rings!!!! Such a reflection of their personalities and personal style. I just love the fine detail on the dress. Ida, Cornelia and I. Cornelia was in school with me, many years ago and she introduced me to Ida just after I moved to Pretoria and took up photography.
