Magic in the mountains

Small towns has a charm to them that no city can ever have, Kaapschehoop is no different and I certainly fell in love with this small town in Mpumalanga from the moment we turned in on the single dirt road. The charming old buildings, mixed with some beautiful guesthouses, the open fields, the beautiful nature and of course the wild horses roaming around. Janri and Richardt could not have chosen a more perfect place for their weekend wedding celebration.

When we arrived there on Friday they were still very busy getting ready for the special day and all the family and friends pitched in to make their wedding picture perfect. From painting signs and arranging flowers, they could not have done a better job!

I could see how much love Janri put into every detail, from the badges for the groomsmen to the custom made earnings for guest favours. Personalised gifts for her bridesmaids and special letters to parents and Richardt. Everything was so put together.

I could see that everyone just loved Janri and Richardt so much and was really happy to share in this special day with them. Richardt is the is truly Janri's second half, the way he looks at her and how he teared up at the first look truly showed how special she is to him.

I know they will have a long and happy life together with friends that will support them all the way. Janri's mom is the sweetest and you can see she thought her daughter how to be the special person she is.

When it started raining in the morning, I thought that we would have a dark and cold day, but just before the first look the skies opened up and we had the most beautiful day. The bridal party was super and were game for everything I asked! This made for some spectacular group shots between the rocks!

Its really been treat shooting Janri and Richardt in this beautiful setting and around every corner there were another beautiful spot with great scenery and beautiful skies! Poor Janri were freezing by the end of the session, but such a trooper!

Getting back to the guests the atmosphere were so addictive, with laughter all around and we warmed up quickly.

This is definitely a wedding that I won't forget for a long time! thank you so much for making me a part of it and welcoming me and Mareli into the family for the weekend!
