A rustic Farm Wedding just outside the cityEarly in December I met with Sonja and Joshua for the first time to discuss some wedding and timeline planning and was so happy to see two people so great for each other. There and then I knew that they would make my job so easy. They were in love and all I had to do was capture their effection for each other!. I could see how much all the detail ment to Sonja as she had invested so much time in making her bouquet and flags for the guest, the sleeves for the serviettes and after a few phone calls and our last meeting I was just as excited for their special day as they were. Saturday it finally arrived. We had spoken early morning before I left and I could hear how at piece she was looking forward to taking Joshua as her husband. Arriving at Y Di Drop Yt, I was so happy to find Sonja all ready, so bubbly and happy! I could see all the details she was telling me about and how well they came together. This was for sure going to be a day to remember. Even Joshua was pumped and having his brother from Sweden by his side made the day so much better for him. I must say, I think the men practiced the poses before hand as they were just to good at it for it to be the first time! Definitely one of the high points was the father daughter first look, both of them were in tears, but what a special moment. Only the previous Monday Sonja told me that her father might have to work, so that made him being there and walking her down the aisle so much more precious and absolutely something neither of them will ever forget. Bringing his daughter into the chapel was so beautiful, with Joshua waiting to receive is bride. The relieve in their eyes and that deep breath when turning to each other. Magical, just magical and moments they will treasure forever. After that I think anything could have happend and they would have been fine with it, not even the forecast of a rainy day could darken their mood or spirit. They even jumped the gun with the first kiss, when the pastor pronounced them husband and wife, but technically they were already married. The day just kept on getting better. We couldn't have asked for better weather and the cake was amazing! That is the most important to me. May you always be the great people you are and keep each other close, forever. Remember to always laugh like you did during your portraits, let the world see that you make each other happy. Thank you for letting me share in your happiness and joy!
